Hi

I'm currently a 21 year old female. I'm 5'2 and weigh 122lbs. I haven't really ever exercised aside from physical education in jr./high school. I'm posted because I've recently begun exercising to get in shape and it has been very difficult. Obviously it's always difficult especially for a beginner like me but when i run, i can't run for very long and i often have to take breaks (every minute or so) because it feels like my chest is on fire and my heart is about to explode. My shoulders also start aching and I begin to excessively salivate (weird?). After i run, i'm stuck with a bad cough that lasts for a couple hours. Is this stuff normal for a complete beginner to running? I'm thinking about seeing a doctor. Thoughts?

Thank you

Hi and Welcome to the forum, I would recommend seeing a doctor
asap. This does not sound normal after running.
