Ok so I have been getting these strange episodes for the last few months, it's happens most of the time if I'm out walking like shopping or just walking a short way , I get a very strange feeling and wondering if it's anything heart related , first of all I get a creeping sensation like a rush and start to feel a little spacey then I get a straine feeling in my left arm like it's gone dead and numb at the same time I get a lightheadedness ( lasts a few seconds) feeling asif I'm going to faint for ten min after (I have actually never fainted though) I there get a little sweaty with anxiety and then a feeling of cold water poured into my ankles occurs ( like water running through veins) at the same time as all this I find it hard to speak to someone , it's like I can't carry on a conversation I usually just say dead end words , I also get a feeling as I'm walking on a uneven floor too, it's horrible , I leaves me in a panic setting for about 20 minutes after as it only usually last about ten minutes but it's so strange, I have seen doctors and I did have abnormal ecg not long ago , think it was called sinus trachykia , I've had 3 X-rays of my chest, 3 ct scans of head, one MRI of full spine and numerous blood tests, nothing has showed up I have been referred to a cardiologist which I havnt seen yet , I also have on MRI scan of my head this upcoming week, can someone help this is ruining my life , I don't even go out with friends anymore as I'm scared it will happen and I will collaspe and die, I'm only 17 please help

Hello Kurtis and welcome to HW! Sorry your having such horrible problems and I want you to know that anytime you get scared and anxious about these episodes HW's Anxiety forums a great place to go to get help and tips to calm the anxiety ok?

I cant give you a diagnosis based on anything but can say those symptoms could be something as simple as your blood sugar fluctuating!

It's very important to keep all your appointments, cardiology too, sinus rhythm in a 17 year old needs to be followed up just to make sure you dont have a congenital problem, one that's been present since birth.

Keep working with your Drs as sometimes it takes ruling out a bunch of things to get to the cause. I know the game of waiting is difficult but your young and to ensure you live a long and happy healthy many more years this time is important! Im also sure it will ease your parents worry too!

Good luck and remember to check out the anxiety forum if it all just gets too much!

Hey Kurtis,

Welcome to HealingWell. I'm sorry about the symptoms you are experiencing - especially not having a definitive answer as to what's going on........ that's very frustrating for sure.

What you describe could be so many different things that it's impossible to say. Anxiety can produce many different physical symptoms- so it could very well be that..... or, as Vickie mentioned, it could be a blood sugar fluctuation. It could also be 100 other things......

The "good news" (depending on perspective) - is that you've had various scans, blood work, etc - and nothing has showed up. So, even though it's very frustrating to not have an answer, it's also good that some things have been ruled out.

Hopefully the cardiologist will have some ideas and will run further tests.

In the meantime - I encourage you to reach out on HealingWell and letting others support you..... on the Anxiety board, here, etc.

I know it's hard.... but try to hang in there and just take things a day at a time........ and keep pushing your doctors for answers.

Please keep us updated. --Tina
