I take 325 mg. of aspirin each day per Dr.'s orders, so when I saw this I thought I'd put this up for others to see, instead of burying it under the "Heart News" thread...Hugs, Teri tongue

Aspirin treatment sometimes a failure

"Scientists are warning there's now evidence aspirin may not be an effective anti-coagulant in some people and may not protect against heart attacks."

I always knew this. I was put on 325mgs of ecotrin. I stayed on it for four yrs. I started in 1999 and stayed on it until 2002. Unfortunately, i had a heart attack in 2000 and another one in 2002. After that i stopped taking asprin all together.

I did a drug tracker and discovered asprin interferred with my bp meds. It also caused me to have bleeding stomach. I now take vit. e to thin my blood.

Eeks, I'm over 50 and take 325 mg of ecotrin aspirin. I'm going to ask my dr. about this as well. How many units of Vitamin E do you have to take jtu?
