...Then I guess I`m doing better than I thought yeah ...I decided to get rid of the oversized mud tires on my Jeep to cut down on gas consumption...I found a Jeep at the local junkyard with the tires I wanted but wouldn`t you know it it was like the 8th one...From the back corner of the yard!...So I had to go back there and first scrounge around and find a jack to use then jack each corner up one by one and remove the tires..Mind you it was 90 degrees with 75% humidity and no shade...THAT was the easy part!..I then had to roll each tire one at a time the 1/6th mile or so uphill to the gate to pay for them!..I would go sit in my Jeep in the a/c for 5-10 minutes after each one...OMG by the third one I was beyond exhausted and was stopping to rest every 50 feet...I was starting to feel faint and spent 20 minutes in my Jeep resting..By sheer stubborness I got the last one..I drank 2 bottles of Gatorade and 2 of water...I think that`s the hardest I got my heart thumping since my heart attack..I was filthy and sweaty and weak but after it was over I felt good knowing my heart held up and except for the rapid beating the final 2 trips I showed no negative reaction...The best part was the guy working the cashier window charged me the price for steel wheels even though I got "rally styled" and I saved $10 per wheel! tongue

Wow, Sara - way to go!  That was quite a day!  My daughter, Britt, who's very into cars - tells me you'll probably get better mileage with these tires, too! tongue

Do you ever feel like times such as today that you sort of push yourself just a little more than normal cuz you are trying to see how much your body (heart) can actually take?  I find myself doing something and just going a bit further each time and though tired at the end of the day, I'm feeling pretty great, knowing I'm still here and I did something that I thought I might not ever do again!!

You take care, Hugs, Teri tongue

Yes it is a very busy place and there are tons of people around...Once I had them I called my brother and he met me at a nice shady place near our home and he switched them all around on the Jeep for me.

Tell her I went from 31"x10.5" knobby mud tires down to just normal 235`s..It`s quite a difference..The new tires are like 2" narrower and almost 3" shorter in height plus they have a normal smooth highway tread...I wasn`t really trying to push myself..I just had no other choice...I came close to leaving that last tire but after a long rest I went and got it but I stopped like 5 times taking it back

I think my biggest concern now is "irregular heart rhythm" which is what my cardiologist says kills most SCA w/heart damage survivors in the 5 years following their first episode
