Hello. I'm new to this forum, but normally post in the Ostomies forum.
about a month ago, my left arm started to become a bit sore, but there wasn't any pain. It was only when I sort of squuezed it that I'd feel some pain (below the shoulder and above the elbow). Since I was washing this thick mat daily and squeezing the water out from it, I thought I just had some straining in my muscles.
But then, I gradually started to have chest pain in the middle but more towards the left. It would happen like once a day but only last for about 10 seconds or so. This went on for about a week.
Then, the chest pain would occur 2-3 times a day and it would happen in the same place but then, sometimes the pain would be on the right side as well, but mainly in the middle. Then, I noticed that my third and fourth toes on the left side were numb. It's just numb and there is no pain.
The thing is, I feel totally fine. It's not like I'm in so much pain and I do my daily routine work. I just notice that everything seems to be on the left side, though. And just this past 4-5 days, I've been feeling numbness in my left arm and it seems like it gets numb the more I use it, but when I don't use it, it seems to go back just fine, although I can still feel a bit of numbness. It's not bad, though.
There is no exact time or any time when I get the chest pain. It just happens randomly throughout the day for a few seconds. Sometimes it happens when I first take in food. At other times, it happens when I'm watching TV or cleaning or even laying down. Sometimes it extends to my back (hard to describe) almost like the pain goes through my chest? Hard to explain...
This past 2-3 days, I've gotten a bit nauseous during the middle of the night and very early morning around 4 am while I'm still in bed, but that also only lasts for about 5 minutes and goes away.
At times, there's pain directly under my left breast - kind of like a thump, thump kind of pain that also doesn't last long.
I'm planning to see my GI doctor on Monday to see if he can refer me to another physician, but I'm just wondering if these kinds of symptoms are heart-related? Does it sound like a nerve is pinched?
