just_man,

Hello and welcome to HealingWell.  If you have not consulted your physician yet about your pain in your left chest and left arm, it is time to do so.

Veins are blue because they carry blood  that lacks oxygen. Arteries carry blood that has oxygen, so the blood is red.

If you look at the palm side  of your wrist, you'll see a bunch of purple vessels, which are the veins carrying blood that has delivered the oxygen to the hand and is on the way back to the heart to pick up fresh oxygen. This is the cycle that keeps us alive.

As I am not a physician I do not dx but only support and make suggestions, at your age it seems wise to me that you see your physician and if any of your concerns change or chest pain becomes alarming - present to the ER.

I am sorry, your link did not work.

Kindly,

Kitt

jm,

Your link is directly to another forum with this same post and what appears to be a picture of a normal hand. Looking at a picture limits what a person can making any other comments impossible.

I am not a physician, however, if you truly think something is going on with your hand and vessels - do see your Dr.

I am sorry this problem is causing you distress and hope you get some medical advise soon.

Kindly,
Kitt
