What a great article and so very very close to home -- I was diagnosed with diabetes almost 1 year ago.  Hugs, Teri tongue

"Unsuspected Diabetes Common in Heart Patients"

"Diabetes often goes unrecognized -- and therefore untreated -- in people who suffer a heart attack or have severe coronary heart disease, according to new research.

Dr. Darcy Green Conaway told Reuters Health that "the majority of patients" who are seen in emergency rooms with a heart attack or heart-related chest pain "have impaired glucose metabolism," and this represents an opportunity for doctors to intervene. "Only once we recognize what we are missing can we then improve it."" http://www.nlm.nih.gov/medlineplus/news/fullstory_26469.html

Hiya, Dave! tongue

That's quite a change from insulin to just diet!  Congratulations to you - you must have really made some changes all the way around for this to occur!!

Hugs, Teri tongue

That's what I'm on so far - just diet - I do hope it stays this way!! yeah
