hi, every time I've seen a Dr. It has been mentioned that I have a high heart rate. My resting rate is 95+ BPM, if I'm anxious it can stay at a sustained 120bpm at rest. It has been this way since my teens. I've had EKG and a CT scan with contrast, was normal. Blood pressure is in optimum range.

I'm a lean 160 pounds.

What does this mean?
A weak heart?

Will doing cardio exercise bring it down in time?

Please visit this link, it's an Electrophysiologist, a doctor that specializes in heart rhythms, discussing "normal" resting heart rates. There is a much bigger variation in normal resting rates than I would have thought.

Continue to work with your doctor if you have any symptoms. But you don't seem to indicate that any doctor has expressed concern.

I had constant high heart rate and found that my thyroid was hyperactive.

And, also if I ate foods with the preservative, BHT, I nearly had a heart attack, my heart beat so hard!
BHT is in almost all white bread and cereals. I started eating whole grain bread and cereals that don't have preservatives. You have to read the labels!

I hope this helps. It has helped me and gotten me off a lot of medication!
