You have heart disease.  You've been told that stress is one of the biggest things to avoid.

What the heck do you do to get rid of it??

Give us some ideas here with this.  What have you found to do that helps to relax you?

I'm sort of chuckling as I write this as I know, no one can truly eliminate all the stress, because I'm just envisioning 5 o'clock traffic here! lol  But is there a trick you use?  An exercise?

Please share your thoughts and ideas with the rest of us!!

The following are the things that work for me (not in any particular order; some work sometimes, while others do at other times.):
exercise
eating healthier
getting enough sleep (and using my CPap machine)
visualization
deep breathing
abdominal breathing
talking to someone I trust
scheduling (i.e., tasks), and try not to take on too much. It helps me to see what I need to do and then
checking off the things I've accomplished.....makes me feel good to see the list get smaller

When I was able to be a bit more physically active, the treadmill was the place I went to willingly. It made me just feel good about myself and I knew it helped me physically, but the stresses of the day just seemed to drift away!

Hugs, Teri :)
