I'm a 17 year old male and I've been having chest pressure and discomfort for 2 weeks now. This is also accompanied sometimes by tingling or a feeling of numbness in my arm and jam, aching shoulder, and slight upper left back pain. I've had an ekg, chest X-ray and blood test which all came out normal. I'm just extremely worried as I've read online that symptoms of heart attacks can last weeks or months even despite normal testing. Please help!

Good that you had the testing. But the question remains, what do they feel is causing the symptoms you experience? Unless they can relieve the symptoms or explain them by some logical means, I would think additional testing may be warranted.

Here is an article on non-Cardiac chest pain, it's interesting and explains why symptoms from other things can mimic heart pain. Click on the "Overview and Symptoms" to see the image and explanations.

Your doctor is likely correct, but it would be best to know what's causing it and for it to be treated to help relieve your anxiety on the issue.

hello,

GERD could be a possibility, I have GERD and a Hiatal Hernia that cause all kinds of unwanted pressures, chest pain and I am really believing PVCs because of an irritation connection with Vagus Nerve.
this is a great article that JungRule has provided. I have bookmarked it, along with others. You might want your doctor to see if an Upper GI is warranted. best to you. idea

Thanks for the replies. I was scoped and diagnosed with mild gastritis, but I'm still skeptical of a correlation between this condition and my symptoms.
