The reason I ask is because I have had persistent constant right side flank pain for four months since my laparscopic kidney surgery to fix a blockage. Since then every test(ct, ultrasound, nuclear scan) is coming out okay with my kidney, doctors don't think it's kidney related even though I feel it's got tobe my kidney. I've seen online some cases of people going to ER with flank pain to be diagnosed as pulmonary embolism which is rare sysmtom. So is it possible I have had this for 4 months or Is it unlikely to have for this long? Also I ask because during my surgery I had complication like mild fluid in lung and small lung collapse but I have been thinking it was a temporary complication of surgery. Could it have caused this pulmonary embolism that is causing this constant flank pain. I dont have any other symptom. I hope somebody reply thanks

I'm pretty sure there's more symptoms to a Pulmonary Embolism than what you seem to be describing.

This page specifically addresses Flank Pain, see if any of the listed causes here might be a contributing factor.

You're pretty well covered by Doctors examinations. If they thought a Pulmonary Embolism was the cause, they'd taken immediate action. Make sure to keep your follow up visits and report new or worsening symptoms to your doctor. If you had procedures involving your Kidney, perhaps the sensation is from that, and you mentioned your lung as well, again, perhaps residual irritation from that.
