Hi I am new, my name is katy.  I am 28 and have been dianosed with PFO.  It all started a few months ago, I was having spells where my heart would start racing, I would start sweating, I would get very dizzy and weak.  My Dr. sent me to a cardiologist and he asked if i got migraines, I thought what does what have to do with anything.  I told him that I have had migraines since I can remember.  He said I might have PFO. so we did the stress test, the echo, and the bubble test.  He wasn't 100%, but he though i did have it, so then we did the TEE, which is where they put a scope down my throat and looked at my heart, which found a small hole.  Now after all that he says take an asprin a day for the rest of your life and you'll be fine.  should I get another opinion?

I had never heard of this before but I`ve spent the past hour researching online and found a bunch of websites about it and from what I`ve read it sounds as if his testing and advice match what I have read...But if you are concerned by all means have a second opinion..Here`s a fairly detailed website on this topic:

Thanks for the info. Sara and Teri. It helped! I juess I the type of person who says if there is a problem fix it. And for the Dr. to say take asprin and you'll be fine, was kind of hard to swallow. Thanks again!
