Hi every one, just thought I'd start another little chat thread here. Hope everyone is safe from the current hurricane. My son is riding it out in his trailer 50 miles North of Wilmington NC. He is only about a mile from the ocean. I wish he would have went into Jacksonville. My grand daughter is with her mother in town in a brick house. My son has no power but has his cell phone and a buddy with him. I'm going to call him again tonight to check on him. Please keep him in your prayers. I have been so busy with work and home life. Not much time to even go on the computer. sad   I miss you guys when I don't get to check in here. Talk to you later. Barb

Hi Barb!! I'm glad you decided to start up this thread again! I was beginning to feel like I was talking to myself, so I hesitated to bring it back alive again! ROFL

That must be hard on you worrying about all this and not being able to coax him to drier land. I hope that he remains safe!!

Missing you! Hugs, Teri xoxoxo

Hi Everyone! I just wanted to let you all know that I've been right in the middle of some kitchen renovations that have caused a bit of a change in my house - I'm now actually 'closeted' in one of the bedrooms with my 17 yr. old daughter and her computer - we're back to back! lol (just temporary) So had a little down time today with moving things around, but as you can see, I made it, got the computer rehooked up thanks to my husband and I'm here! :)

Wishing everyone a great night and hoping to see you all in Chat tonight at 8 PM CST!!

Big Hugs!! Teri :)

I'm glad he's willing to do that Libby! My daughter, or husband usually will post in my absence as well (under my name :) ). Bob did contact me as we've been buddies for a long while now. He's the "silent" type.

Come on Bob! If you are reading this say Hi and let everyone know that you are okay?! I hope you are!!

Hugs, Teri :)

Hi everyone, my son is safe and sound and dry. I found out his wife couldn't stay in her trailer because her landlord made everyone leave including one of my sons buddies that lives in that trailer court so the dummy went and stayed with my son in his trailer. I wish my sons landlord did that because my son doesn't have the common sense to leave. My son has the baby for the week. He wants what is best for the baby. He is such an awesome daddy. I wish his wife could see this. I'm still holding out hope for them to work things out. He has turned into such a selfless, loving, caring man that I am very proud of. Well I better get to bed as I have a big barbecue on my new gas grill. Lots of food to prepare. Will try to check in again with all of you this weekend. Barb

Hi Teri, hope you are well tonight. I love my new grill. I cooked corn on the cob on the side burner and then chicken on the grill part. I have to go out and cover it up before I go to bed tonight. We sat out by the camp fire for a while too. Just a relaxing day and night in our yard. My son called again this morning and told me how baby Bella was up at 2:30 am. He said he couldn't get get her to go back to bed so he just curled up on the bed with her and then she went to sleep together. He said he took a morning nap with her also. He's excited about dressing her up in the pink dress I bought her and taking her to church tomorrow. He is such an awesome dad to that little girl. He had to call his wife and have her come over when Bella started crying this morning and saying Ma Ma over and over. She did and stayed a while. Crystal gave Josh a kiss on the cheek when he came and got the baby last night. I hope Josh can get her to go for counseling and work this out. I think it is best for all concerned. Well I need to finish cleaning up outside so I can go to bed. Barb

I hope that Bob is back soon and doing well!

I had a great weekend. My cousins were visiting my mom who is 86, my aunt and uncle (ages 91 and 86 and another aunt, age 85. Susie is from OR and Jack is from CA. They are my mom's sister's children. They have not been back to MI since the mid fifties, so it was quite a trip and exciting for all of us. It was great to remisce (okay is that spelled right and why do I care? lol) after them being gone so long. Their two sisters died from heart disease, I'm sad to say. I saw them both in September of 1985, so still a long time between visits. Just enjoyed the entire day.

On the other hand, here comes the not so much fun part.......when I arrived home at eleven thirty last night, the basement drain was plugged! My son and I worked on it and still could not get it to unplug. I had to run to the store to get a flashlight and go to my daughter's to get my "snake" that she borrowed and did not bring back. By the time I got back home it was midnight or after and still no help. Ackkkk. So, now I can't shower, do dishes, wash clothes, and my son said use the bathroom. Guess what? I am going to use the bathroom. But have a call into a plumber and hopefully get this nasty predicament turned around. Thankfully my daughter lives close by so I can shower there this afternoon. I showered yesterday morning so I wasn't too worried about that this morning. I'll go to work this afternoon stinky, lol. JUST KIDDING.

Anyway, I'm sure things will turn arond, and NOTHING can ruin the wonderful weekend I had.

Kathy - You're home! :)

I've missed you. I sure am sorry to hear about those plumber troubles, I've got electrician problems. lol They came this morning to bring the kitchen up to code and found so many problems that were created by the shoddy workmanship from the contractors who built this home. I guess a lot don't take pride in what they do. I sure hope that you're able to get your basement drain working!! - and that you are feeling okay?! Sounds like you had a great weekend.

Love and Hugs always, Teri :)

Just a little up date for you all many kind folks. I was told a month or so ago that I had a ruptured disc in my lower back along with some other things, then told that my left ventricle was starting to back into failure, I've noticed a few things lately, but yesterday and today cinched it for me...I seem to be going back into full blown right sided failure as my abd. is very large and my back on down have gotten pretty huge for me - so tomorrow I'll be calling the Dr. and seeing what tricks he has up his sleeve for me. I wanted to let you all know in advance.

With Love and Many Hugs, Teri :)
