Hi my name is Trish, recently my husband was diagnosed with acute pericarditis we went to the ER one night because he felt like someone was sitting on his chest and he was having a hard time breathing. They started running all kinds of tests they had told us he was on borderline of a heart attack. We were terrified my husband is only 25 and were newlyweds. They admitted him right away. They followed up with ekg an ultrasound of the heart and xray of the heart and told him his diagnosis they released him later that day. He has been having flare ups every night and has even developed a new symptom of real bad night sweats but refuses to go back to the hospital. Is there any advise you can give us I'm really worried.
