Hi everyone.... I think I can offer some additional information regarding the new Part D of Medicare. I work as an Administrative Manager for a Medicare Advantage Plan.
Please be sure that you contact your current company before making any changes come Nov 15, 2005. If a person is already enrolled in an MA Plan and then signs up for a seperate Part D Plan they will be disenrolled from their plan. This will cause major problems as Medicare recipients will only be allowed one change between Jan - May of 2006. Then they will be stuck in what ever situation they are in.
Another great place to get information is from www.medicare.gov The information can be quite confusing so please get all the information you can and make educated and informed decisions. These choicess can really affect your care and your wallet.
Hope this helps!
