A dry mouth can come from many things ranging from medications to diseases.  It can happen more as we age, but anyone can have this happen.

It occurs sometimes with high blood pressure, allergies and even depression.

I always remember in the hospital when you can't have anything to eat or drink, or when I'm fasting for a blood test - my mouth is always the driest then and I can't wait for a drink! tongue
