Hello, Teri. I've been eating healthier, much healthier, keeping my calories and carbs under a certain limit, recommended by my diabetes nutritionist. My blood sugars have been normal in the morning for about
3 weeks now. I'm also TRYING to exercise at least 3 times a day. I'm way behind in that. I think whatever I do to help manage my diabetes has a positive effect on my heart, and vice versus!! Oh, and I take my medicine as prescribed, although I need to get into a better routine where I take my meds at the same time every day and eat at the same times.
