This probably isn't new to some of you, but found a good article at http://www.diabeteshealthconnection.com if you scroll down to this topic under diabetes news. It says that Mom may have been right when she said that breakfast is the most important meal of the day. The small study suggests that skipping breakfast may raise cholesterol levels and lower the body's sensitivy to insulin. They also said that the women in this study tended to eat more calories on the breakfast free days. This study was done in the UK.
