Hello all,

A few nights ago I was woken up suddenly to find my heart racing wildly. I have had this before with anxiety attacks but not this bad & they always respond to deep breathing &/or getting up & visiting the loo, etc. But this one didn't. My heart kept beating wildly/so fast for what seemed a long time --- probably a good 20 minutes or more. And it was accompanied by a feeling I can't even begin to describe accurately. Doom. terrible terrible fear worse than anything I have ever experienced in any panic attack ever.

I went out to the living room, turned on the lights & the tv & just lay down on the couch. I almost called 911 & I should have. Things finally calmed down after about an hour but it really scared the hell out of me! It was the length of time that it took my heart to get back to normal & the terrible feeling that went with it. I am an old hand at panic & anxiety attacks & know what to do when they happen but this was NOTHING like that!

Does this resonate with anyone?

Yes, my husband has called 911 twice in October because my heartrate would leap to 150-160, BP skyrockets, and I feel "like I'm going to die." Was sent home "it's not your heart" so no doctor can tell me what's going on.
