I am a 22 year old female with no previous cardiovascular problems.
This week I have had these flutter-like moments, a couple of times, just for a second.
Today, I felt something strange on my left ribs and I just randomly thought to measure my BP. It was 132/110 and the pulse was 112. I was feeling no pain, no discomfort, no shortness of breath and I have been resting all day, so no physical activity to justify those numbers.
I got worried to be honest and I took a Bisocor so it would calm the heart rate, and I lay down and took deep breaths to calm myself. The heart rate was still over 100 and this weird neck pinching feeling started. It is very random and I think it is more related to my position on the computer, but still, it started parallel to the high BP.
I haven't been in a lot of stress lately, but it is always present, so maybe that's the cause of it?
Right now my BP is 110/82 and heart rate 80.
I have never had high blood pressure and my resting heart rate is always under 85 and BP usually 11/70.
I am obese and I haven't moved much lately since I work all day (not a reasonable excuse in my condition, but anyway).
I do not consume foods high in fat or fried and the only cardiovascular issues in my family are from my grandma who is 67 and has a bit of high BP.
I am worried it might happen again randomly.
Should I get it checked out or could it be just stress, since I have no other symptoms and I do have anxiety and depression?
Thank you very much!
