Hi I'm 58 I had valve replacement and bypass surgery 2 yrs ago at CMHVI in Lewiston ME. I had problems from the get go. A week after my 1st surgery they had to go back in and perform more surgeryon my heart, then I got a staph infection that required them to remove my sternum then perform pec-flap surgery to repair my chest, followed by 6 weeks of IV antibiotics every12 hrs. Needless to say I'm not the same man. My mobility in my upper body is very limited. I now suspect that I may be suffering the effects of "pump head" I have been very depressed since the operations "spaced out", moody, quick tempered, and forgetful.

I'm looking for people who may be suffering from some or all of the above symtoms, or have had simiar surgeries. I am very interested in the pec-flap surgery and pump head condition. I hope to hear from some people out there.

Thank you
