Hi,
I had a chest pain 6 months back so went to see a doctor at A&E. They did an ECG and all came normal and she suggested to me to go to GP.
I have seen the GP and after one more ECG and blood test, I was tested Helicobactor Pylori positive so I was given some anti-biotics and gas resistant tablets - no pain for some time then. I was also Anaemic.
In January this year, I had a general checkup where an ECG, blood test is done and all came good, but the BP difference between 2 arms is different (~15 points). Blood test this time revealed I am not Anaemic. I had an x-ray done and it didnt explain the BP difference, as it is all normal too.

I get the chest pain again now - very bad 2 weeks back. Went to A&E - one more ECG and all OK. Doctor asked me to check with GP again :(
The pain is bad now, I get it almost daily and have some tickling sensation in hands too. Sometimes I get the pain on right side of chest too. I am just 29 and never had any health issues in the past.

I have an appointment with cardiologist specialist next month but I am really worried about my health. I am very active, never get a pain when I play games or so.. but I get the pain only when I am idle, after eating , before sleeping and as soon as I wake up.

No medical history of heart problems. Please can anyone tell me if difference in BP is causing this, though I have a normal ECG? I am not over weight, but a bit skinny. Thank you.
- SR

May be Costochondritis.
It's mainly in your ribs, but mine travels to my chest. Both left and right sides.

Thank you for the reply. But does that explain the differences in blood pressure too? If I have a normal ECG do I need to worry about cardiovascular issues ?

Thanks for the reply. I was worried by reading posts somewhere else where difference in BP would result in arteries damages. Will ECG test confirm arteries issues or does it only tell the heart beat rhythm?

sounds like a angiogram is needed. put the dye in and check for blockages and stuff.

Thanks for the reply. Is angiogram required even if ECG and blood tests came OK?

usually no. if bloods and other stuff is fine, but I was thinking out aloud about the possibility of blocked arteries. how is ya cholesterol levels? sorry if ya mentioned it already, I am vision impaired and miss stuff at times.

Thanks Happy Turtle.
I have normal Cholestrol and normal blood pressure - which I have checked 2 months back.I have also tested for Atrial fibrillation, and it came normal too.
Do ECG not reveal blocked arteries? Thank you.

It doesn't explain the BP issues, I've got slightly elevated BP, so I'm not too sure about tests to figure out WHY it's elevated.

I'd get in to see your primary and go over options on different tests they can run.

I'm experiencing similar. Chest pain. Normal ECG's, normal bloods, normal stress and Holter. My pain is horrible about 30 seconds after I get out of bed. I wake up...either fine or having the dull mid sternum pain...get up and walk to the bathroom and by the time I'm finished, the pain is horrible...subsides to a tolerable level 30-60 mins...then just throughout the day with the chest pains. I'm now having bouts of pleuritic pain in my left ribs...yelling hurts it...bending, anything or nothing. Let me know if you figure anything out.

My BP is low (was an endurance runner/cross country skier) so my HR and BP is low.

I've had the same exact thing. A whole cardiac work up and more, everything is normal. The Dr thinks its a possible pinched nerve. But my pain is sharp and tingling from the base of my neck , down my arm and mild pulling on my chest wall. I'm also 29 no health problems or family history, don't smoke or drink. I pray for healing for us

It was mentioned to me about a pinched nerve as well but it's not. Yours may be...especially with the tingling at the base of the neck.
My pain is literally everywhere waist up. Dull sternum pain (with sporadic quick pains there as well) cramping and/or sharp pain behind left breast. Pain in ribs on both sides. Pain in left arm. Sometimes right. Shoulders, upper back, mid back. Also have periods where it feels like something in stuck in my lower ribs. I don't know. Cardiologist is investigating for coronary microvascular disease but says "I don't think this is what it is". I'm also tired a lot (but I don't sleep much due to anxiety and being scared). Sending you positive thoughts. Hopefully we both get this figured out.

Hello,
Sorry for the delay, but I have a few updates now.
I got my MRI Scan, stress test, ECG (atleast 4 times) , Echo done and all came normal. My Cardiologist suggested the chest pains were to do with Gastric problems.
I am referred to a gastrologist, he did a Barium Swallow test and Endoscopy.
Endoscopy revealed lots of gas production which forced up to stomach and Esophagus, which causes the chest pain. I am given few tablets and the pain almost disappeared now.

Thank you all for your support and wish you all recover from this too! Taje Care.

Regards
