Hey all, this is my first time posting. I'm 52 yrs old, 6'1", 230 lbs. I was diagnosed with a 3.5cm dilated asending thoracic aneurysm after a ct scan to check lungs. I saw cardiothorcic surgeon who simply said don't worry about it, " I see five of these a week". He didn't require any future follow up scans or tests? He said at my size its fine..... I'm not comfortable with not getting future scans to see if it's getting bigger. I have had anxiety, panic and depression for many years,so this isn't helping! Lol I feel I should ask my generalpractioner for a ct or Mri in a year.... Thoughts anyone? Thanks!
