Hi there,

This is the first time I have been on a forum of this kind It is a week tomorrow since my husband had a heart attack. He is now home, with three stents and eager to get back to all the things he did before. I am his wife and finding it hard to settle and let him out of my sight. I would like to talk to someone who has been there and experienced the multitude of emotions surrounding this life changing event.

welcome. that is good actually, his eagerness, you got to get moving. the heart is far more robust than people think. follow the dr's advice, esp with lifting in the early stages. otherwise, do a cardiac rehab program, most hospitals have one, or a community centre type set up. you learn meds, food, exercise and all of the good stuff. keep strong and welcome. me, complex double by-pass, culprits, smoking and diabetes!!! I flew overseas 6 months later!!!! keep him movin'.
