It's been exactly six weeks and one day that I have had heart palpitations all day, every day. It is ruining my quality of life!
I'm a 34 year female, I no longer drink, I don't smoke, I don't take allergy meds or have any thyroid issues. In fact my blood work is PRISTINE!! I covered everything from cardio CRP, to hormones, to vitamin deficiency and even a D-Dimer (which checks for possibility of a clot)
I could stand to lose 20lbs, but I am by no means overweight. I work out, swim, do yoga, hike and bike......but recently with these palpitations I have not been able to do as much as I'd like. It's affecting my everyday life ;(
I get light headed, short of breathe, my stomach turns. I'm constantly yawning and gasping for air. I feel completely off kilter and I don't know what to do!!
I've seen a cardiologist, we did all testing, including the bloodwork I mentioned before and he said its benign. No real resolution wishing just blows my mind!! How can I live like this!? Is anyone going through this or went through this? Will it ever go away?

Hello & welcome to Healing Well. Congrats on the clear cardio workup. Hopefully, this will help ease your mind. Keep in mind none of us are drs here so we cannot diagnose anyone. The symptoms you are describing sounds a lot like anxiety issues. Anxiety can wreak havoc with a person. I suggest going in to your PCP & tell him what is still going on & talk to him about it possibly being anxiety related. The gasping for breath, perhaps a consult with a pulmonary dr to make sure nothing is going on there.

Currently this forum is on the slow side & without a mod. I try to check it make sure people get a response. Let us know what you find out. Take care.

I had similar palpitations for two weeks. I too had a full work up and it found nothing. He said the nuclear stress test was clear and that takes precedence, even though the 24 hour holter monitor showed lots of palps, not PVCs something else, don't remember exactly.

He said to just not worry about it. They went away after a few weeks, after I had some other tests done that I was very worried about that came back normal (not heart related)

Apparently it was anxiety related. If you had a full work up including an echocardiogram and stress test, I would listen to the dr and not worry about it. Maybe get some anti anxiety meds.

I have been dealing with anxiety since the age of 18.....I've been on meds and even though I occasionally have attacks, I've learned to deal with them.
In the 16yrs I've dealt with anxiety though I've never had these palpitations. it's def making my anxiety worse, but even meds/breathing and relaxation teqniques aren't working. I almost wish there was a diagnosis, something to resolve this. ;(.

For whatever reason it very much sounds like the anxiety has kicked in since your cardiac workup was clear. Its frustrating for sure when things like this happens & everything checks out ok. I do understand the comment of you almost wish something would have shown up. Thats the anxiety talking. You realyy don't want to have to deal with heart issues its a drag, lol.

You posted a vote so I will address some of it. If you are not depressed you certainly should not be on anti-depressant.

Drinking & benzo's do not mix. Check this out at Drugs.com.

As far as a Beta blocker goes you don't want to be on a medication unless you have a solid dx to warrant being on something.

Personally if this were me I would looking into my anxiety issues to see what going on there. Take care.
