When I was 23 years old it first happened to me. It was a weird feeling in my stomach for a second like
a gas moved to my chest causing a huge heart palpitation then my heart races 200 beats a minute. I am 49 now and heart attacks run in my family hardening of the arteries. Dad had 2 heart attacks still alive at 70 the first one he was dead for 7 minutes but the firefighters brought him back I was a kid he was 37.. I had them put on the heart monitors but nothing ever came up.
its happened on and off since I was 23. I am now 49. I had one a few month ago and was a few blocks from the hospital they of course it stopped after 35 minutes just before they took me into the ER. They did an AKG etc and found nothing. Heart seemed fine. A few years ago I got high blood pressure and on pills now. It doesn't seem to effect it one way or the other. The last couple month I have had them 2 times. Normally its about 1 time a year. I learned that if I sit on the toilet I can bear down and go to the bathroom and or burp and it goes away then or soon after. I believe its gas related but it scares the crud out of me. 200 beats for 45 minutes is a lot I think. I had one today in the car I had to pull over and let my wife drive. we where in the middle of know where. By the time we got to the hospital it stopped. Took a tums and it made me gass out. The hole time sitting forward to bear down on my stomach. (45 minutes.) I had a stomach issue this weekend gas smelled like burnt rubber had this before and when I get sick and bloated I know theres a good chance it will happen. If anyone has any Ideas I heard something about vargus vien ( ignore spelling) that presses up on the heart causing the missed beat. But what about the 200 beats per minute till I burp or bear down. It usually doesn't last that long. The last couple times it lasted 40 -45 minutes. Anything would be helpful.. Thank you ahead of time for your input. And or questions you may have for me.
Thank you.

Can you get into a cardiologist and get an echo and an event monitor done? That should let you know how everything is doing. I have an anxiety disorder and GERD. I have had tachycardia episodes and palpitations for 19 years and the cardio work up shows everything is fine. It is scary, I get rapid heart rate, sweating, nausea. It can be pretty rough. I hope you can get in and get a healthy report.
