Struggled with these all my life, as did my father. HInt: I have had heartburn all of my adult life. The PVCs got even more miserable as they partnered up with severe bloating and ridiculous belching. Asked every doctor I went to for years. They all gave me non-answers shrugged their shoulder and said it probably wont kill you. But if it does its instantaneous.
Finally along came gastritis and ulcers. I finally started putting it together. That vagus nerve that runs through your whole body passes by your stomach and if your stomach is irritated it affects that nerve and the next stop is your heart.
When I told my doc he said Oh yeah, of course, I knew that. He is no longer my doctor.
This may not be the answer for everyone but be aware of what you are eating and how it makes you feel. Sticking to the ulcer diet, eat frequent small meals, eat slowly. My triggers are tomato-based foods, fried foods, spicy foods etc. Almost 70 and wish I had this info a lot earlier but I feel so much better.
