about 2 and a half years ago I developed what seemed to be "skipped heartbeats" which I found out were PAC's and PVC's.  My doctor had me do a stress test (I was 34 then) and said that I had runs of them.  He said he would only see runs of them in older people but then went on to say that it was nothing to worry about.   I also had an echocardiogram (normal), EKG (normal), blood tests for artery irritation (normal), normal Blood Pressure.  Since that time I watch what I eat (very limited caffeine and alcohol) and started an easy excercise regimen including rowing, and have tried to really forget about them (or at least not worry about the PVC's).  Fastforward
2 and a half years and I really have gotten into rowing.  It is very grueling if you excercise hard and whenever I do, I get huge Extrasystoles/Extra heartbeats. I really had not worried about them until a few days ago when I excercised really hard (doing a race piece) and of course had huge PVC's afterwards.  The next morning I awoke to blurry vision in one eye (not terrible but enough to be annoying).  The eyesight in this eye before was perfect 20/20 and I wondered if my PVC's were to blame.  My blood pressure was 117 over 78 and I had no headache or other symptoms. Upon doing some investigation, I found that some people with PVC's can have blood pool in their heart (which coagulates) and then gets pumped up into the brain which can cause a stroke or stroke like symptoms.  Any comments on this would be appreciated.

Hi oh8rower,  Welcome to Healing Well forum.  We are glad to have you.  It is mostly likely a good idea to speak to your physician regarding this type of exercise and let them know of the symptoms that you have described here after that one incident.  It is important to exercise and keep in shape however, we dont want to over stress our hearts especially when there is already a condition to deal with.  This is just my opinion, hopefully someone who is knowledgeble with PAC and PVC's will come along and post their input also.

i know how it is to worry about the PVC's. i had a bout with them a year and a half ago and dr put me on Toprol XL and it did great until about a month ago.  for some reason they flared up again. i am currently adding a magnesiun supplement to my diet to see if that helps. does anyone know how long it takes to see if there are any results from the magnesium? eyes

First of all you have tagged on to a thread that is from 2006.  It feels to me like you are promoting a product so I have removed your post as the product you are supporting is not promoted for any heart condition.

Sorry that you removed my email... It had the possibility of helping others as it has me... I wasn't promoting anything, I was simply stating the facts and how it helped me... If you are only looking for medically proven results by Western Doctors god help you and those who read these emails... As for the 2006 issue, this is all new to me and I thought I was answering questions of concern regardless of the date and time...

I am sorry your upset as that was not my intention.  I read the information re this product and I did not see where it was recommended for heart conditions but it was highly touted as a weight loss product.
Here is the link to the product so I will let the members decide on the use of this product:
