Do you use the internet to source health information or self-diagnose?
I am PhD student (nursing) from the University of Glasgow, Scotland. I am currently recruiting participants to take part in online interviews. This study looks at internet use for health information on heart symptoms/conditions. I have received permission to post from one of the moderators, Peter Waite.
I am looking for members of the public who have used the internet to search for health information/self-diagnose any type of heart symptoms/conditions/heart failure. You may have searched these symptoms for yourself, a family member/friend or you may be a carer.
All participants need to be over the age of 18 to take part and interviews will be held on Zoom/audio call.
All data will be anonymous and confidential. Ethical approval has been sought for this study.
In summary, we are looking for participants who are:
- Over the age of 18.
- Used the internet for self-diagnosis/health information seeking for health failure/disease/symptoms or conditions.
