Well thought I would update everyone.  The darndest thing happened and my extra beat seems to have all but dissapeared since I went to the doctor. I guess hearing him say I wasn't going to die made me stop worrying, or maybe it really was stress related.  All I know is that if it's happening I don't even feel it anymore.
I am still going to see a therapist on Monday for stress problems and anxiety.  I think that a lot of this is just my worrying and stress.  Now my symptoms have changed to something I am more familiar with when it comes to anxiety.  I get chest discomfort that is caused by me. I know that sounds funny but that's exactly what it is.  I have a bad habit of rubbing my chest right in the middle and it gets irritated. Then it starts feeling funny so I rub it again and it gets worse. Bottom line is that then I start worrying about why it's feeling like that when I am causing it to feel like that.  Don't know if anyone here can relate to that or not.
Anyway I do have one question.  There is one thing that I have been getting a lot and I am wondering if it's something to worry about.  I have been getting sudden sharp pains in my left chest area.  Especially around the lower part towards my stomach. I am wondering if this is just gas or nerve related pain.  Or if this would be Angina?  I don't know if this is something I should see my doctor about before May 4th or if it's something not to worry about.  The best way to describe this is that it's a sudden sharp pain that last all of maybe 2secs and then comes and goes occasionally but never more then 5 to 10 mins in length.  Usually much shorter then that.  For example the one that I had last night before bed was 3 sharp pains and the whole episode probably lasted 3 mins.  Any ideas?

Bandit, It really sounds like reflux or GERDS stuff. Angina pain usually isn't described as sudden sharp pain. I actually get that alot on the left side chest area and I am really beginning to think it is all GERDS related for me. I had an endoscopy on Thursday and they found gastritis, esophogitis and polyps. Since then I have had ALOT of pain right where the esophogus goes into the stomach. I think it is called the sphinxter muscle or something like that. It shoots pain out laterally or even veritcally a bit. I imagine from the scope that was put down my throat and into my stomach that the whole area is a bit sore. UGH!! Oh well, this too will pass....Iquess.

On May 4th mention it to your doctor and see if he thinks it is some reflux. It is easy to take medicine for that. Good luck.

Hi Bandit, I have angina almost everday, from what you have described it doesnt sound like angina to me. My angina is usually on my left side and sometimes goes clear across my chest. I have never had it to go into my stomach region. Also if you have a crushing pain, like a weight is on your chest, this is also angina. Of course if your concerned it wouldnt hurt to ask your Dr. Chest pain is something you should never dismiss lightly, I know from experience. Good luck to you! I wish you all the best and hope everything is ok.
