:-)  hi not lucky, you did not mention how you are handling your new diagnosis, have you been anxious?  also, why in the world would you have to wait til june to see a cardiologist, if i called mine i'd be right in, and if you are reallly conerned you can go to the er and say you are short of breath and have cad and they will do a work up. are you female?

:-)  hi not lucky, i am probably such a bad influence, but i just want to add my experience. after you have a stent placed they put you on about 3 or 4 new meds. i was so sick and tired and my stomach hurt so bad. i kept going in and complaining about stomach pain when i talk and backpain, my ribs still are sore.  well, i started to stop one thing at a time and after over a year of trial and error realized a big part of the problem was the meds, so all i can say is i feel so much better now. i stopped the statins and that was the major culprit for my depression(which i never use to be) also my tiredness. i also was on a ppi for acid reflux, had to switch three times as they were keeping me feeling drugged up. so what are you taking?

:-)  well, i was on lopressor also and it made me so tired i dropped it after 7 months, to i felt 80 years old.  that helped me a bit,  then after another year and 4 different statins(lipitor) being one of them, i finally had enough and stopped those, and i can tell you i have felt so much better.  i now take 81mg aspirrin,5mg lisinipril(same as your atenolol),omeprazole, for stomach problems caused by the meds i was on for over a year. i also stopped my plavix after 9 months, it is really not necessary after that time frame from what i have been told. gosh, i do not know how our little bodies can go from zero meds to 5 and not have some adverse reactions.  i just felt soooo bad for so long, i decided that quality of life meant more to me than quantity, i feel like what will be will be and i just pray every nite and wake up happy to see another day, as long as i do not feel bad,it seems like a distant thing, i really cannot do anything different than i am right now, i will add questrin to my meds(instead of a statin)it is a safer alternative, not as cholesteral lowering but effective.  what are your numbers. my cholesteral is at 275, pretty high, that is why i will try the new med tha t is the total # my hdl(good)is about 63 and my tryglicerides are 160 approx, do you know your ##

:-)  just wanted to add that i could not have gone back to work to save my life, how are you doing it!!!! sorry about your husband, i have to add, that even if you are not a depressed person, consider a low dose antidepressant sooner rather than later, it will help with the anxiet, i fought it for a long time, over a year and i am sorry iwaited so long, this is a difficult time for you all the way around, i thought i could tuff it out, but the anxiety that goes along with this diagnosis can cause alot of the pains you are describing, you are all knotted up inside. bye for now
