Ok guys I'm putting it out there tongue   You don't have to say who suffers from constipation or has problems from this but I know that when your on multiple medications especially antidepressants this is a common problem.  I would take women's correctol which has Bisacodyl in it and it turns your stomach when it starts to work.  All us heart patients know that we need Omega-3's in our diet for heart health right?  Well my mom found that Flax Oil Caplets or the seeds work wonders for constipation.  It also provides the Omega vitamins and doesn't over stress the system.  I have been taking it for the last two weeks and am greatly impressed with it and how it is working to keep things regular.  I just wanted to share this with you all in hopes that if someone is having problems with this it may help.... :-) But you may want to talk to your doctor before starting to take something like this first

Hum? confused  I dont know....Does Fish Oil Caplets work for constipation?  I did see they are in the same section at the store... My mom has a nurse friend who has IBS who recommended this to my mom to use so I guess it didnt bother her system too much.  She said it was the only thing she was able to use.  Maybe, check with your doc and see what they say?  I have been really impressed the last two weeks...with it.

els, thanks for the info. Where would you buy this at? A health food store or can you buy it over the counter? I don't mind saying that i've had this problem for a year now because of all the meds I take.

yeah, I remember the Zoloft being an issue...lol!  Actually, I saw it the other day at walmart of all places.  I got mine at the pharmacy, but was just looking around walmart and there it was in caps and they also have the seeds too.  But my mom took the seeds and they gave her gas really bad..but she had gastric bypass two years ago so she usually has gas really bad anyway (I probably shouldn't be saying that nono ) .  It is in with the vitamin section.  I am pretty impressed with it as it doesn't cause cramps or anything like that.

HI ELS, WELL I AM BACK AND SEE THAT YOU ALL HAVE BEEN DISCUSSING FLAXSEED OIL, THAT IS GREAT STUFF IF YOU CAN TOLERATE IT. IT MAKES MY IBS WORSE, I TAKE SALMON OIL FOR MY HEART NOT CONSTIPATION, THAT IS A PROBLEM WITH ME TOO BECAUSE OF THE ZOLOFT I TAKE AND THE CALCIUM, PLUS I EAT ALMONDS EVERYDAY TO HELP MY GOOD CHOLESTERAL NUMBERS. I PICKED UP SOMETHING FROM MY DR. THAT YOU PUT IN ANY DRINK AND IT WILL WORK IN A DAY OR TWO, BUT I STOPPED THAT AND THE QUESTRAN I WAS ON, TALK about GETTING STOPPED UP  YOWIE.  WELL GONNA RUN, I ALSO USE PSYLLIUM HUSK POWDER THAT IS NATURAL AND WORKS VERY MUCH LIKE THE FLAXSEED
,IT JUST GIVES ME BAD GAS ISSUES ALSO.
