I'am only 16 and for the past few months I have been haveing very bad sharp chest pains that last for maybe 2mins at the most and I feel like I have to hold my push down to make it feel better.I have no clue what is wrong or what to do.Also I my heart rate goes up really high sometimes and I may not be doing anything. Not to long ago I couldn't feel my chest and my heart was pounding also other parts of my body feelt numb too.I am scard to know what is wrong and there may be nothing wrong it may just be from stress but I have never heard of anyone going through what I went through because of stress. If anyone has anything that might be able to help me out that would be really great.

Hey C&R,  Welcome to healing well forum.  The first thing I would ask since you are so young is does anyone in your family have heart disease or any type of heart problems?  The second would be do you smoke, drink or do any kind of illegal substances (as these will greatly effect your heart rate and can cause chest pressure/pain)?  Third, do you participate in any kind of sports like running (track) or something of this nature? If you do have a family history of heart problems then you need to talk to your parents and get to the doctor to get it checked out.  Chest pain isn't something to mess around with...so I would get to your regular doc or the ER (the next time you have chest pain) and get it assessed.  Please do let us know how it goes.  Take care

Welcome to the HW C&R. I agree totaly with ELS. It's tough being a teen, and what you do with your body now will help or hurt you when you get older. I will keep you in my prayers you will find a great bunch of people here at the HW. Don't be a stranger, we would love to hear from you again. Double Hugs for you today .DELTA
