Hi all. Hope you are doing well. I'm hoping someone can explain this to me. I just came from the doctor. I understand the ventricular tachycardia thing I got that one figured out real quick when I had that run of ventricular fibulation, but at the doctor today, they told me in the hospital no changes in my stress test, but he said that my heart was pumping with 49% of the force it should. There was a lot to talk about diabeties, lungs and other stuff so I did not ask many questions now I'm overwhelmed again. Is this another kind of condition or does it go with the ven. tach.? I was told a couple of years ago that I had mild cardiomyopohty(spelling?) Is that what this is? I've got some links to check out when I get time i just thought someone in here could answer quicker than I can find it. Thanks and take care.

I would think that the 49% force, is actually an efection fraction (EF). Normal is 65 or so for young healthy people. SSDI will allow for you to apply at an EF of 30%. My EF is 45%.

The cardiomyopathy could have started these rhythm disturbances. If the sinus nodes (electrical pathways) are deformed or changed (due to a reforming heart), they will respond sometimes by palpatations, etc, I have read.
