Hi everyone,
I'm actually from the fibro and chronic pain forums, but saw this one and thought I'd ask your opinion.
For several months now, almost a year, I've had severe, very painful, deep pain in my right leg. It started about 4 inches below the knee (NOT knee related) and feels very deep as in the bones almost. Well, now it's killing the entire upper thigh area, still feels very deep, wakes me from a dead sleep, and I either limp when it's hurting or sometimes I can't even walk on the leg.
I've been checked for Peripheral Artery Disease, blood clots (blood tests only), and my circulation is normal.
Does anyone have any ideas I could toss at the doctor this a.m.? I leave in 4 hours to see her and would appreciate it if anyone could help. I was in the medical field myself, but am also at a loss.
Thanks a bunch!

Have you had an ultra sound?
Have they ruled out peripheral veinous clots?
Does taking aspirin have a positive effect (if you can take it)?
Have you had any insect bites or previous injuries to the area?
Could it be cellulitus?
Have you asked the doctor about doing an ultra sound, an x-ray and, possibly a CAT scan?
Has the doctor tried a short round of antibiotics to see if there is an infection going on (or have blood tests ruled that out?)
Just some ideas.
Best wishes.

:-)  Hi Stephen! Thank you for replying as no one else had any ideas as you can see. LOL.
Actually, everything has been ruled out and all test results come back normal. I am beginning to agree with my doc. I have bursitis and I've noticed when I walk a lot or lay on that side, the pain gets bad after a period of time. She believes it is due to the bursitis and FMS.
I hadn't had any pain for quite a while until day before yesterday, when my daughter and I ran around the mall like idiots! LOL After a while of doing this, I was in so much pain and limping. It lasted throught he night. I can not take aspirin due to bleeding ulcers, but am on Oxycontin and OxyIR (see bottom for list of meds). Anyway, even these do not help as my tolerance is soooo high.
Thank you anyway for the suggestions.
God Bless
