Hello everyone,

I feel and hear my heartbeats esp. when I lie down or sit quietly. I mean my heart beats are strong. And the doctor told me that I have arrythmia. But doesnt arrythmia mean irregular heartbeats? What can be my real problem? Any ideas? I have no other symtoms. My daily life is not affected.

Thanks very much for your answers in return.

Sally

Hi sallyjoe, Welcome to Healing Well forum, we are happy to have you.  Arrhythmia's are basically any change in the hearts natural rythem.  I will post a link from the AHA website on them for you.  I have Bradycardia & Sick Sinus Syndrome which is slow heart rate for which I have had to have a pacemaker implanted...I'm 33 yrs old.  There are some people that say they can hear their own heartbeats...I'm not one of those...heartbeats way too faint tongue  , but I can believe that this is true.  Do you have a cardiologist?  Have you had a work-up done?  Is there a family history of heart diease in your family?

I am sure others will post with some ideas/suggestions...hopefully.  In the meantime please do feel free to continue to post we would love to hear more from you.  Take care http://www.americanheart.org/presenter.jhtml?identifier=560
