Well, I decided I would post my question here, since my doc could never give me a straight answer.

Mostly when I lay down, and mostly on my right side, I get a strange feeling in my chest, almost like a quick "clench" that will happen four/five times. Feels really, really strange. I occasionally get them sitting up, occasionally on my left side, but rarely when lying on my back. And they stop immediately when I roll from my right side to my back.

I would think PVC's wouldn't stop just with a position change would they?

My doc had just blown me off with a "not dangerous, whatever it is don't worry about it" type statement. I know my heart is okay, had a ton of tests run, so it's more of an anxiety causer to me than any thing.. that little niggling thing that you don't KNOW what it is, that has the power to drive you out of your mind!!!

I'm thinking gas, or muscle spasms. This doesn't sound like a heart related thing does it?

Thanks for reading my rambling..lol.

Hi Sarah! Sounds like normal, regular old palpitations to me and change of body position can affect when you feel them or even have them. For example, bending down or squatting down or twisting can cause me to feel one. If I am having a run of them, I definately feel them while laying on my left side but may not feel them when I roll to my back. So I always roll to my back to see if that causes me to not notice the sensation. Then again, yes, it could just be gas or a muscle spasm! :-)  Fun, isn't it!

Hi Sarah! Do you have gastric reflux? Sometimes reflux can cause esophageal spasms (this would be a very mild one, severe ones feel like a heart attack).

Hmm.. yes I do have a mild case of gastric reflux, mild enough I don't need medication..but do have to watch what I eat, and to stay upright after I eat for a while. I have noticed that a lot of times the sensations I feel are accompanied by gurgles of gas lower in abdomen a bit later.
