I have recently been told I have atrial septal aneurysm, and a bicuspid aortic valve...the migraines with aura I've had since I can remember (I've just turned 30) I've done a bit of research, and found the ASA and migraines can be linked, and as most - I don't want something to happen if I can prevent it. Are all of these linked and does that make me at a super risk for stroke or heart problems in the future. If anyone can explain it to me in plain english that would be helpful.

Thanks!

I have had occular migraines since early childhood. The headaches seemed to go away after I had my bav replaced in 04, along with bypass. They have recently re-surfaced and I have just found out that I have 2plus aortic regurgitation due to sclerosis around my mech. valve. I have always felt that valve disease can cause headaches. Will stay in touch.

HI A...could you tell me a little bit more about your aura's. Can you describe them for me. Also, how did they find the atrial septal aneurysm...was it an echo..or, some special sort of echo?
