So, as you guys may or may not know, I am generally at the anxiety board, as I suffer with that.  I have another heart type question here.  Today I have noticed that I keep getting a little pain in what feels like my heart.  It is like a sharp, little pain.  It has happened maybe 5 times today, each time I was sitting down not doing anything at all.

Yes, I suffer with anxiety...and yes, I have other chest issues, which you will see if you look further down on the board.

I am a 26 year old female.  (Figured someone might ask that)

Anyway, my question is, does this seem like something I should get looked at right now, or could it potentially wait until my appointment on Tuesday???  I have an appointment with my regular family doctor Tuesday afternoon.  Or, would you suggest I try to move that appointment up?  OR go to the ER.???  Just looking for thoughts, and maybe someone else has had this issue before and can put some thoughts into this.

THANKS GUYS...and let me know if you need anymore information in order to voice an opinion!

Tammy,

If you feel like you are having a problem w/your heart, you need to call your doc ASAP.Have you told them that you have been experiencing these pains or of your concerns about heart trouble? In the meantime,if you start feeling worse,I would consider going to the ER.I really hope that this all works out for you soon.Take care & keep us posted.

YEs, I told them I have been having a sore chest, and anxiety issues. They seemed comfortable with me waiting til Tuesday. So far, I am feeling about the same, just getting more anxious about it I guess, which is the worst part. I am going to see how I feel tonight, and I may consider seeing if they have anything open for tomorrow or Saturday. Ugh. This stinks!!!

Thanks for your input!!!

Definitely try not to panic about this.  Sharp little pains can come and go anywhere and most of the time they are absolutely nothing (or at least nothing to worry about).  You could have a pulled muscle, for instance, or costochondritis.  But if it's really bothering you, it might be reassuring to see if you could get into see the doc sooner.

Hey Sarita! I have actually heard a lot about this possibly being costochondritis! And it does hurt more when I push on it!!! Anyway, yea, I am going to see how I feel in the morning.

Thanks a million for the answer! Made me feel better!!!
