Could anyone tell me if they have had severe heart pain wherein there was a warm tingling feeling over the left chest area?  I was having trouble breathing and every time I talked the pain became worse.  It lasted about 1/2 hour or so, was after moderate exercise and eventually subsided when I rested.  A lot of gas too that also subsided when I rested.

I have been having problems with my MVP/regurgitation and enlarged left ventricle.  Was put on Atenolol (ACE Inhibitor) because of rate/pulse, double beats and skipped beats were causing me to become symptomatic.  The Atenolol was working great (only 5AM-7AM did my heart act weird), until now.  I need to walk for 30 minutes a day to work and am concerned that this will continue and cause harm.

It was very different kind of pain than I ever experienced before and seemed very odd and extremely painful.  It didn't feel like a knife like usual.  I am 38, so I don't want to go to the E.R. unless I have to.  I appreciate any information one may have regarding this type of pain.  Thank you. - Kristin
