HI,

I wore an event monitor for apporx 21/2 weeks and went to my cardiologist and he told me everything is fine, even my BPM (beats per minuite) ranges from 60-120, I requested a copy of the EKG strips and I recieve it this afternoon and they dont look  normal to me, it also reads
Findings Sinus Rhythm
Sinus Tachycardia
Sinus Tachycrdia Premature Atrial Contraction
Sinus Arrhythmia

none of the strips look like any strip I looked up on Yahoo that showed a normal EKG, some lines go way down or way to high, your input would be greatly appreciated, not sure why I doubt my doctor, I guess once I learned not to trust my doctor I doubt all my doctors (Lyme Disease Side Effect)
I have shortness of breath, my pulse goes up and my pressure drops when I stand up and fatigue and chest pain

Hi Judy, I am sorry that your have doubts about your doc.  Your BMP isnt irrg if it falls between that range.  Usually, doctors get concerned if it gets above 180 and sometimes it can get into the 200's.  So, 120 is a pretty good range.  Anyhow, with what your report read and you having concerns you can request a second opinion from a differant cardiologist which is totally appropiate.

I dont know much about Lyme but does it effect the heart in anyway?  Do you think perhaps your cardio doc is relating the Sinus rhythms to your lyme or maybe medications that you may be on?  It may be worth checking into...

Keep posting and let us know ;)
