If you do are you taking meds for it? Everytime I go to the Dr. my B/p is around 160/90 and I walk out with another script for b/p meds. If the nurse takes it with me sitting in a chair is about 140/70 but my Dr. says sitting with your feet on the floor or hanging down off a table makes no difference. She is institant that I take meds because she says if it goes up in the office than it is going up when I am stressed. Nobody's b/p is always the same but she wants it under 120/70 at ALL times.

I am monitoing and my readings are under 130/70 even down to 110/58. Once in awhile I will get a 150 reading but the bottom number is fine. I have taken it when i was stressed and it never gets as high as when I go o the Dr.

I a wondering if other people have the same problem and what theur Dr. say about it.

Thanks, Linda

Sorry, no I am not on any meds, but my Dr. thinks because my b/p is elevated in the office I should be. I cannot make her understand that my B/P is fine at home.

My readings today were, 130/70- 124/62- 118/58.
Why would I need meds.
Meds could drop it too low.

I was a N/A and we were taught to take a persons B/P sitting down with their feet on the floor and their back rested or else lying in bed.

Thanks for the reply, sorry to confuse you.
