It's been happening for a long time, but I and people I told about it just always think it is stress. It is just a really really hard beatng in my neck that I can feel with out touching my neck if that makes sense... and also sometimes it causes such bad pains in my neck and sometimes my head and chest that I have dropped to my knees in the middle of class or had to lie down and close my eyes. What could this be? I haven't gone to a doctor or anything case i hadnt assumed it was serious, but it is occuring more often now, and the pain is worse. Any suggestions please... also I am young (18) and I am healthy in my opinion, rarely ever sick, and I dont have any bad habits. If they helps to narrow down what might be causing this. Thank you.

Hey PinkGirly, Welcome to Healing Well forum, we are glad to have you join us here.

Keeping in mind that we are not here to diagnose you and you should seek medical treatment if this has been occurring for as long as you state here.  Now, you have several advantages on your side here...one being that your young, and it could be anything other than a heart problem...such as an increased blood pressure (which should be checked by doctor) or  gastric problems which are often mistaken for cardiac in the beginning.

If you do have a family history of heart problems/disease then of course that would have to be considered.  In my opinion though I would be getting to the doctor to get checked out.  I forgot to leave this link for you too...I thought perhaps it might be of some use to you...

ok... does any one else have these symptoms? i've looked online and stuff comes up about things with these symptoms... but i dont want to think i have any of that. So... idk. I hate going to doctors though, you get charged out the wazoo even if nothing is wrong.

I am a med student, so I probably imagine the worst with anything, but this definitely sounds like something you should get checked out--an EKG to check your heart, and definitely check blood pressure.  I know doctors are expensive (I still avoid them, and I'm going to be one!) but this could be very serious.  You are young--it is worth finding the answer now and staying on top of your game instead of having it bring you down, or interfere with your life for years.
And even if it comes back as nothing serious, at least you will feel better having an answer and some advice on how to deal with it.  Peace of mind is still money well spent!  And if it is serious, then you can deal with it now and and not have it turn really bad really fast on you some unexpected time in the future.
Go see a doctor.  Let us know how it turns out, if you are willing to share.  Good luck!

Pink,

Yes their could be a circullation or digestive problem. I would get your thyroid and adrenals checked out too.
