Hi, I'm new here and lurking still, I am 30 yrs old with cardiomyopathy/CHF caused from a virus 4 yrs ago.  My EF is 20% right now and we are restarting all the meds, have been off them for 2 yrs because my heart was supposedly better from an echo then.  Anyway, I am at 30 mg of Coreg right now and have been for over a week.  On Thurs.  I was feeling really good and rode around with my husband while he ran errands, I got out a little, but mostly stayed in the Jeep.  Anyway, later I ate a chicken taco salad, which I don't eat very often, and about 15 mins later I had this strange episode.  The top of my head felt like it was gonna blow off, my pulse dropped to half what it normally is, my heart was banging in my chest and throat, and my feet and hands went tingly.  It lasted about 10 mins.  I immediatly called my Dr's office and he was out, but his nurse said to let them know if it happens again.  I am going to the ER if it does happen again, but I was wondering does anyone know what causes this?  I have my cardioligist appt on Wed., I don't have an ICD yet, and I will tell him about it, just wanted input before then.  Oh yeah, and I am still feeling better, but am having the banging heart thing when I do too much or lay on one side going to sleep.

 Thanks
