I had an ablation around 6 months ago, I started getting feelings like me heart was skipping beats, so was refered back to my specialist.  He told me that skipped beats were nothing to worry about and were normal.
Now I am getting rather worried as if I do anything that involves me raising my arms above my head.. painting etc, When I come to rest afterwards I get a feeling in my heart (like when your tummy turns over), like a long dull feeling of a missed beat, (really hard to explain) LOL
Sometimes it only does this a few times, but usually carries on and can be hours or the next morning when I feel "normal" again.
What could this be? Could it be that when my arms are raised it is stretching my heart and setting something inside there off?
Also when i go shopping I set off the buzzers when i walk into the shop and when i leave aswell!  Could they have left something in there which is activating these alarms?
Hope someone replys LOL

Hi Queen, my name is Jen and my husband just underwent an unsuccessful ablation because his extra electrical pathway ended up
being in an unusual hard to reach location that is right near a major artery on the outside of the heart rather than on the inside....making it a riskier we are now trying to figure out where to go from here...but I wanted to mention that my husband is getting worse symptoms now than before he went in for the procedure, and we are very worried about it but after reading some of the posts on this site, I feel better because i keep reading people saying that thier docs said it would be normal to feel worse for a short time afterwards. I'm hoping that's the case with yo as well, as you said you just had the ablation 6 months ago. I was wondering if this one was successful for you? Also, I noticed in an earlier post didn't you have an unsuccessful abaltion first? If so, I was wondering why yours was unsuccessful. I am just really trying to find someone like us so I can ask questions and find out what to do!!!! Oh yeah, and about the alarms when you go shopping, I wanted to tell you to maby ask your doctor, even your primary care physician if they can do an xray or something to make sure nothing was left in there, because that is really really weird, and it would be nice to be able to rule that out.  Good luck and let me know!!   Jen in Florida
