hi everyone, i usually post on the arthritis forum as i have RA but yesterday i had an EKG because i have been experiencing palpatations, one in particular that really lasted maybe 20 or more seconds like butterflies were loose in my chest.  anyway i have been dianosed with prolong QT interval 47 percent.  my dad and both a difibulater and pacemaker.  i nervous about an operation on my gallbladder thought i might mention my symptoms to my doc. and we found this on the EKG. anyway, google looks scarey so i thought i might post for responses?  could i have a false positive? what am i in store for my first cardio visit?  any input greatly appreciated  thanks so much  yally

Hi yalinda, I am sorry about your palpatations...there could be a lot of reasons for this so dont start to panic just yet.  It is good that you have had the EKG and are set up with a cardio appointment.  Any chest pain no matter how small or fleating should always be checked out.  Please know that we are here and let us know how things go with your appt.
