hi everybody, thanks in advance for your help :-)
My girlfriend (luv of my life) constantly suffers from upset stomach..
tha facts:
no prescribed or OTC drugs help or prevent it..
shes seen several docs with no sucess..
always happens after she eats..
lying down is all that helps..
when x-rayed it shows excessive air in the chest and stomach..
her throat makes gurgling loud gurgling noises but she never/cant burp..
if anyone can offer any insight I would appreciate it

Off the top of my head...has she tried Phazyme for the gas? Does she possibly has a lactose intolerance problem? I would check our thread on "ways to minimize GERD symptoms". Nothing in there would hurt her, and something in there just might help. Trying to figure out which food or drink in her diet might be aggravating the problem is important. Let us know how you are doing. Good luck to you!

My 2 cents.....Phazyme is GREAT. Does this happen even with small meals, snacks, drinks, coffee? What does her doctor think?

Hello t1one, and welcome to healingwell. That is great that you are trying to find answers for your girlfriend.

The best information we need right now though is if she has seen a doctor about this.

When it comes to issues of the stomach, it can be so many things from something as simple as something as big as cancer...No, I am not implying that she has cancer, I am only expressing that there is a wide span of things that could be going on with her.

How long has she been dealing with these symptoms...does anything make it better?

And again, has she seen a doctor, and if not, is she planning on seeing one anytime soon?

Please do stick with us, as this is a great place for information, and maybe your girlfriend could even come on here, and read previous posts, and see if she relates to any of them.

Wishing you both all the best!
