I had my gallbladder removed in 1997 and have been dealing with D & C since then, which I'm assuming is IBS.  More recently, I've been having a burning pain in my upper abdomen.  My PCP wrote it off as GERD, probably stress related and gave me Nexium, which seemed to be doing ok up until about a week ago.  I don't get nauseous, but have lots of burping and gas and burning pain.  I do also get "phantom" gall bladder pains, depending on what I eat.  My dr. appointment isn't until next week.  Of course reading all these message boards, it seems like I've got symptoms for many digestive diseases.  Just wondering if any of you folks have experienced anything similar or have any input?  Thanks!

Well, your doctor is the best source, but burping, pain, and gas sounds like a good possibility of GERD. I think it's common for the Nexium to sort of help off and on.

Keep reading on this forum and see what your doc has to say. Hope you feel better soon.
