Hi all

I just wanted to share my success story in treating GERD with apple cider vinegar. I hope this helps.

I've had GERD for 3 years and nothing seemed to help. X-ray revealed that I had a weakened Esopheagal sphincter.

My symptoms include feeling of a bloated stomach after meals, sore throat and excessive phlegm from reflux. "stomach spasms" that felt like I was throwing up. It was so severe I had trouble talking because of the irritation in the throat.

I have tried Zantac, Pariet and Nexium all with limited amount of relief and also expensive. Out of desparation I searched on google for alternatives and someone suggested apple cider vinegar. I bought a bottle at the local health store. It was cheap, 4$ for 1 litter bottle so I really didnt have that much to lose.

The next morning, I mixed 2 tablespoon of apple cider vinegar with 1 tablespoon of honey in a cup of hot warter and drank the mixture. I drink another mixture during dinner. It didnt taste that good but the results were immediate and amazing.

I was stunned.

Almost all the symptoms disapeared right away. The spasms stopped after breakfirst, the amount of phlem in the throat had reduced greatly and for the first time I could talk clearly without constantly clearing my throat. The feeling of bloated stomach dissapeared after meals.

It's been a few weeks since i've been on this regiment and the symptoms never came back. I plan on doing this for the rest of my life because there are also other benefits from drinking apple cider vinegar.

I know some of you might raise questions like "apple cider vinegar is acidic ...so shouldnt it make the problem worse??". My answer to that is I dont really know why it works but it just works for me.

If you've tried everything and still suffer from the symptoms, give ACV a try. The worst thing that you'll lose is 5$.

I wish you all the best and good luck

I have never tried it for GERD but I have used Apple Cider vinegar off and on for sinus trouble. I feel good all over when I am on it. I mix about a shot glass of it with cranberry or grape juice. I have also just drank it mixed with water. I think it is worth a try...it certainly won't hurt you.
