Hello all,
My issues started in Oct/07. It started when I woke up in the middle of the night with nausea. I had no other symptoms at that time. Fast forward to present day, I have the burning and swore stomach feeling. I'm on Pariet and that seems to help with the nausea but I still get the burning with most meals...the larger ones. I had a upper GI and that showed moderate reflux....doesn't feel moderate. Thank you for the opportunity to vent.

DaDarth, Welcome to HealingWell.  I am not at all familiar with Pariet.  But, believe me, there are many more tests they can do to see if you qualify to have your esophagus repaired.  Are you being treated by a GI physician or your PCP?  I can tell you this, they will put you through the wringer, so to speak, before they determine if you are a candidate for the surgery, but if you are, it is well worth it.
Please keep us posted and let us know how you are doing.  You sound miserable.
Take care!

Thank you for the reply. I forgot to mention that I had complete relief of my symptoms for about two months. I had a upper GI about 10 days ago and ever since that my symptoms have come back. I'm hoping that they will again go away.
I thought that the upper GI was not going to be a problem but I did notice some pain after drinking the fizz and then my issues returned two days later. I will give it another week and if I have no change I will return to my Dr.
